About

I pivoted from a career in mental health counseling to experience design so I could reach a larger audience and make a bigger impact. The drive to make the world more just and inclusive is at the heart of everything that I do.

How I work 

I like to be well-informed to guide my designs. I like to understand a problem from all angles and become a mini subject matter expert with each project. I often go out into the field to observe and conduct contextual inquiries, dig into secondary market research, analyze user data, interview stakeholders and other experts, conduct generative user research, and validate ideas through testing. 

As the user expert, I collaborate with business and tech partners to come up with a product’s strategy and plan its roadmap.  Since I like to be hands-on throughout the design process, I often wear many hats and fill different roles across research, strategy, design, and product management.

Having lived in various cities around the world, I can easily get along with different people and have fruitful discussions despite differences in opinion. Having moved every few years of my life, I can quickly change gears and adapt to new situations. I don't shy away from asking tough questions and I see challenges as new opportunities for growth. My teams rely on me to get things done right and done quickly.

What I use

Whiteboards, markers, Post-Its, Sharpies, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Keynote, and really anything to get the job done. I'm a quick learner.
